1. Controller and scope
This notice applies to the speaksynq.com marketing site and the SpeakSynq services at app.speaksynq.com, provided by Collabry, Barbaros, Şebboy Sk. No:4/1 İç Kapı No:1, 34758 Ataşehir/İstanbul, Türkiye. Contact us at app@collabry.io with privacy questions.
The marketing site, web app, and future mobile apps may use different features. We aim not to collect personal data that an active feature does not require.
2. Information we process
- Account and profile information: name, email address, authentication records, and language or practice preferences.
- Practice data: sessions, completed segments, progress, scores, and review lists.
- Voice recordings and derived results: short recordings you choose to upload, transcripts, rhythm or pronunciation assessments, and feedback.
- Mobile release list: with your express consent, only your email address.
- Technical and security data: service requests, error and security logs, IP address, and limited device or browser information.
- Optional site analytics: page views and approved interaction events only after you opt in.
3. Why we process it
- Provide your account and the speaking-practice features you request.
- Store, replay, and compare recordings securely and produce the feedback you choose.
- Notify you when the mobile release is available, if you separately asked us to do so.
- Keep the service secure, accessible, and reliable and prevent abuse.
- Understand and improve the marketing site in aggregate when you permit analytics.
- Meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
4. Providers and transfers
We may use Cloudflare for infrastructure and security, Jotform to hold the release-notification list, and Google Analytics for consented site analytics. Jotform credentials and bot-verification secrets are never exposed to the browser.
In the web app, OpenAI speech-to-text and Microsoft Azure Pronunciation Assessment are separate optional features. The relevant short recording is sent only after current provider-specific consent; the reference text is also sent for Azure assessment. Revoking consent stops future calls but cannot reverse processing already completed.
A provider may process information in another country. We use contractual and technical safeguards required by applicable data-protection rules.
5. Retention and deletion
Practice recordings are held in private storage. Replaced recordings are deleted; remaining recordings are cleaned up when a practice session is completed or its retention rule expires. Account and practice history is kept while needed to provide the service or until you request deletion.
Account deletion has a seven-day cancellation period. After it ends, deletion of account-linked data and external storage objects is verified. Encrypted backups expire within 30 days and cannot be selectively rewritten. Limited records may be kept longer where required by law or a security dispute.
Mobile release-list data is kept until we send the release notice, you withdraw consent, or the list is no longer needed.
6. Cookies and analytics choice
The marketing site loads the Google Analytics tag only after your express permission. If you decline, it sends no analytics request. You can change your choice through “Analytics preferences” in the footer. Essential features such as security, sessions, and language can operate separately.
7. Your rights and contact
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing and to withdraw consent. Use the account-deletion page or email app@collabry.io. We may need to verify your identity and the scope of your request.
We may update this notice as the service or law changes. We will communicate material changes through an appropriate channel and update the date above.
